Tim and Heidi – Married

The wedding of Tim and Heidi marks in my wedding books as one of the most fun. They both had such a fun spirited group of people surrounding them, and there was definitely not a shortage of love. Both Tim and Heidi are such sweet people, and being present on their wedding day was such a honor. As the reception rolled down, it is always such a nice feeling when the bride takes time out of her special day to tell us how wonderful it was to have us there. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that means to me. It’s my job to be there and capture the special moments of a bride and groom, and all their day entails, but to be recognized and thanked is just awesome. I’m so glad that the circumstances brought Heidi and Tim to my door. Enjoy just a few of my favorites from their special day!

Their expressions say it all! Love this moment.
Such a cute ringbearer!
Seriously adorable couple
Absolutely stunning!
This is why I love Heidi so much! Fun brides rock my world.
Definitely one of my favorites
Future couples and anyone who wants to know: This is the key to my heart. CHIPS and SALSA!!! Yum!
Love the expressions of these two together.
Such a sweet moment between a mother and her daughter during their dance.
A moment between a mother and her son. Brings tears to my eyes.
And of course, some country line dancing. A staple in this couples life.

Travis and Kate – Engaged

Meeting Travis and Kate was another small world type of thing. Kate was referred to me from another friend (who I went to middle school with) and then found out that Travis drove the tractor that carried a previous AWESOME wedding party and me from the wedding to the reception. I love when a couple has a place in mind to take their engagement photos at, that mean something to them. In this case, we got to go on a little adventure on some of Kate’s family land. I got the pleasure of riding with the two of them in a little buggy type, not quite a four wheeler (can’t think of what it’s called) all over the land, dodging branches. We got to climb on some old structures and feel the slight panic of being so high off the ground, and we found the most awesome patch of yellow flowers that I have been dreaming about photographing in for so long. It was a complete blast and I am completely in love with these images.

One word to describe their relationship: After much talk, we decided that destined was the correct word. Travis and Kate actually first met when they were just babies, where Travis walked over to baby Kate and kissed her on her head. They wouldn’t meet again for many, many years, but when they heard the story of their “first” meeting, it seems that destiny had played a part in their life.:)

I can not wait for their wedding this fall. Until then, check out some of that awesomeness.

Cassidy and Jim – Expecting

I met Cassidy through her sister, who I had the pleasure of photographing her sweet girls (twice now, with another session scheduled soon.) I met her sister through my husband’s cousins. Just a big family circle! I love doing maternity photos. I know a lot of women who don’t want like to have their big ol’ belly photographed, but it is such a precious time. A moment where your body is carrying the most precious gift, and it only gets the chance to look like that once. I simply adore maternity sessions. Cassidy and Jim were so much fun to photograph and get to know. This is one stylish momma. I’m so envious of her style.:)I know they are very excited to meet their sweet little girl, due in June. I can’t wait to meet her! Check out a few of my favorites!

Ryan and Amber – Engaged

Hello gorgeous! I had the pleasure of meeting Amber and her mom one evening, and I instantly knew that I was going to love this girl. We talked a long time, discussing many of the details of her wedding, getting a feel of her style. She’s having an outdoor wedding (my favorite) and I was excited. During our discussion, in the whole 6 degrees of separation, realized that one of the guys that is standing up on her side works with my sister. Small world! And then to find out that her husband-to-be actually went to middle school with me. So much fun! So as you know me, I was extremely excited that I was the one chosen to photograph this gorgeous couple’s big day. Their engagement session was so much fun. And it was so easy. The two of them are so natural together and in front of the camera, my job was made pretty easy. When asking that specific question: What one word would you describe your relationship? Ryan: “Loud” (with a laugh from both him and Amber.) Amber: “Easy. There’s no drama. It’s so natural.” And I would agree. They are so much fun together. I can not wait until their big day! I have big ideas in store, and I’m ready for a whole lot of fun to come from this group.

Also, have to plug…:) Ryan is a DJ. He owns Crash Events and you can find out more information about that here. So if you are a bride to be, or in the market, make sure to check him out. Now check out some of my favorites from their engagement session!

Alicia and Jaron – Engaged

When I first met with Alicia and Jaron, I knew that they both looked familiar. Turns out they have been at the guests at a few weddings I have photographed, as well as Jaron was a groomsmen in a past wedding (you can see that here.) It was so comfortable and easy to be with the two of them, as if we have been friends for a while. I’m beyond excited that they have chosen me to photograph their special day. We headed out to Allerton for their engagement session on a gorgeous, slightly chilly day. Alicia warned me that Jaron can have that “fake” smile, so we tried our hardest to get genuine smiles out of him. I think we succeeded!:)A reason I love engagement sessions is the time I get to spend with a future wedding couple – they get to see how I work behind the camera, I see how they work in front, how they work with each other, their style, etc. It builds a comfortability for their wedding day that you can’t get any other way. And of course, I love getting to capture their love premarriage.:) So I ask: If you could describe your relationship in one word, what would it be? Their answer: Amazing. Alicia continued on: “Loving him is the easiest thing I have ever done!” I love that! Seriously, I have the best couples ever! Now, on to some of my favorites from their engagement session.

You only have to wait until October to see some more awesomeness from this gorgeous couple!!!:)
